Basic Infant Care

Expecting a new baby is an exciting experience. Anxiety often occurs during and after the arrival of your baby at home. Care Net Pregnancy Center of Indian River County has developed a simple hands-on Basic Infant Care Program just for you!

Through loving and compassionate peer counseling, you will gain the confidence and skills necessary to properly care for your baby. Allow us to give you the support and guidance needed to help bring out your God-given parental instincts. You are your baby's life-line and we are here to help!

Activities

• Watch videos
• Receive guidance on preparing your home for baby
• Hand-on exercises with baby doll model
• Discussions such as:
  • Taking care of baby
  • Taking care of yourself
  • Effects on others in the home
• Answers to any questions you may have on the care of your baby

Earn While You Learn

In this program you can earn either your mothers bag for the hospital visit or baby's bag. It is our hope that this program will help you prepare for your homecoming experience.

Mother's Bag: Deodorant, Toothbrush/Toothpaste, Slippers, Shampoo/Conditioner, Razor, Soap, Comb/Brush/ Pads/Travel Bag

Baby's Bag: Layette, Newborn Diapers, Baby Book
